Lloyds Pharmacy – Microsoft 365 Security

In 2023 Lloyds Pharmacy decided to withdraw from the high street pharmacy market and to consolidate all of their hospital pharmacies into a smaller new business LP Healthcare Service (HCS). This new business would be totally cloud based using Microsoft Azure M365 and SaaS applications.

AJ Security Consulting were engaged to provide advice on the implementation of the Microsoft D365 security stack for HCS.  We identified the Microsoft security products needed to manage the relevant security risk to the business following the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework. These included:

Defining the Azure blueprints and policies

Defining the conditional access policy

Identifying the mixture of E5, F3 and F1 licences.

Implementing Azure PAM/PIM

Implementing Defender for EndPoint

Implementing Defender for Cloud

Implementing Defender for O365

Implementing Microsoft EOP

We advised on the security configuration and the monitoring of these tools, and all were successfully implemented within 6 months to provide a pragmatic and cost-effective solution.
